After doing latest update Mac book pro doesn’t work

how can I fix it - it now on goes to blank screen

Read and follow all the steps in If your Mac doesn't turn on - Apple Support, including all the steps in If your Mac doesn't start up all the way - Apple Support, all the way to their conclusion.
