So what software/program do you all use to view your font styles "at a glance"? I use the built in Font book but I have to go line by line to see what they actually look like. I am looking for something like what I see in Cricut (see image below). BUT I don't want to have to open Cricut > insert a line > and go to change the font to be able to see them.
Caveat, my Mac is a late 2013 and running Catalina.

This is Font Book on macOS 11.7 using the Dark appearance mode. It will switch foreground/background coloration when using Light mode.
For my example, I selected the A𝖨 toolbar item and set the font size to 18 with the Size: selector in the upper-right corner of that view.
Font Book allows one to see sample text for each font hand (without expanding the Font entry) when choosing the A𝖨 toolbar item.
@VikingOSX how do i get that paragraph view? My view is the list of fonts and the letter sample to the right. Plus what is the difference between an SC and TC font? (ex: Yuppy SC, Yuppy TC) Some fonts show only boxed question marks as the sample.

SC is Simplified Chinese, TC is Traditional Chinese.
( MacOS includes a large number of fonts intended for scripts other than Latin. While you can still type English with them, it is generally a bad idea to do so, as odd things can happen, and the names can cause confusion when read by apps on other machines.)

In Font Book you could create a smart collection for "language = chinese" and try deactivating everything that comes up. Some may not let you deactivate, not sure.
(You could do the same for japanese, korean, hindi, russian if you want to eliminate more)
Your “view” is awesome. Mine is more like the traditional list of fonts with samples off to the right. I have to click on each font to see the sample.

I've volunteered to do the newsletter for our Catholic Daughters chapter and I like to use some fancy fonts every now n again. This is why I'm asking for an easier view and which fonts are OK. lol
