Emoji Skin Tones - Default

Can I select a default skin tone for my emoji? Why does apple assume I want to keep them all the one skin tone and change them 1 by 1? I understand that the circle face or Original smiley faces can’t be changed but I want to make all of the others one skin tone (of my choosing) and change them to fit the text if needed.
