I didn't know Facebook was owned by Apple .

The fact that Android works is irrelevant. Android and Apple use two completely different operating systems and therefore there are two completely different versions of the Facebook software.

Facebook broke the Apple version of the software and they need to fix it. Apple is not responsible for fixing Facebook's mistake.

Same here, and it looks to be this update that did it. I first did my iPad, and the edit function disappeared. Then I could still edit on my iPhone, until I updated it to 15.6.1. How perverse is is that an update could remove a single function in a long menu of options, and have it be the most-used one?

Well, it’s not perverse because the update to 15.6.1 is not the cause of the problem. It is the update of the Facebook app that was installed right after the iOS update. As mentioned in the post right above yours.

This has nothing to do with Apple, this is on Facebook to fix their software.

Weird, then why are android users not having this problem?

They aren’t but clearly the iOS update isn’t working properly with Facebook. I just did the update so not sure if other apps are effected in any way yet.

Well, actually, the problem is Facebook updated their app right after the iOS update, and apparently broke it in the process, which is a common problem with Facebook updates.

It’s not this update because I have not updated and this is happening to me as well on 15.6.0 it has something to do with what Facebook has done.
