Cant uninstall an app on my Macbook Air

I've downloaded an app that i have no use for anymore but the app has a password that i no longer remember so it wont allow me to delete it. What can I do?

Drag it from the Applications folder to the trash; you don't need a password.

Or download the free app, AppCleaner. It's safe and does a good job.
