Hollow sound from New Macbook pro 16

I just got a new macbook pro m1 16" and the sound is horrible. It sounds as if the played audio (youtube voices for example) are in a box. The overall audio has a hollow effect. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? I've tried all the audio settings and nothing seems to change anything. Using the setting in apple music etc. Any help would be appreciated. And yes, I restarted the mac and I'm on the latest software version. GM
