Unable to Reset Password - MacBook Pro

I can’t log into my new computer because I (embarrassingly) forgot my password. I have the reset password assistant pulled up. When I enter my Apple ID and password for my Apple ID, it says, “There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server.” I’ve been attempting this for 4 days, and am growing more & more frustrated. Please help. Thank you.

Was the time and date correct? That can mess with the server connections. If you by any chance have an Ethernet adapter for your Mac or another Wi-Fi network, try that.


Beyond that, your best bet is to take it in for service, I think - Find Locations - Apple
