Series 4 Apple Watch black face won’t turn on or charge

Have series 4 Apple Watch - started a open water swim last night and it went black before 10 minutes in - can’t get it to start or charge or anything?

It then died due to low battery and now when I try turn the device on it’ll show the Apple logo and then switch off instantly. Sounds like it might be water damage,probably best to have it checked out at an Apple store.
