Apple id problem on iPhone 4

When I try connecting to my apple id on my iPhone 4 with the correct password,it says that Apple id or password is incorrect, even though they are correct, i know they are correct because it gives me the verification code on my phone can someone help me?

Verification Code isn't working Hi! Just found my old and locked iPad. Did a hard reset with iTunes, and now it is working but I had no clue what was my apple ID. So, I've opened a new apple ID and assigned the iPad as a new one. Now, when I try to sign in with my new apple ID, it says "Type your password followed by the verification code..." which I did received as SMS to my cell phone. When I enter the apple ID password again from start, and then in the same field right after the password, I'm typing the verification code, it just shows a message says that the password is wrong! I reviewed old posts about similar issues but nothing seems to get it done. Any suggestions on how to sign in to my new apple ID account on my 1st generation iPad?? Thanks!!

The iPhone 4 does not support 2 factor authentication

On your phone go to settings>your name>password and security>receive verification code

If the above doesn't work, try entering the password (ABC) followed by the code (123) or ABC123 (no spaces).
