How to fix iMessage on a new iPhone?

Then you need to talk to your carrier/cell phone provider.

Messages sent to other iOS users are sent via Apple's iMessage protocol (and show in blue).

Messages to non-IOS users (e.g. Android) use SMS, which uses your carrier services and is not controlled by Apple.

Certain people I can text that have an iPhone as well, I can’t send an IMessage. It will say (not delivered, try again or send as a text message) it’s been like this for 2 days now. But if I send an iMessage to my mom, who also has an iPhone it works just fine 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve tried just about everything to fix it on my own. I’ve tried turning off iMessage rebooted the phone turned it back on, make sure that I am signed into Apple ID make sure that I’m connected to the network. I’m not sure what else to do
