iPad clean up message

I received a message via a white screen stating my iPad storage was almost full. I have used 42gig of 128. There were steps listed and a link that was supposed to be to the App Store. I went to the App Store but not by using the link provided. The clean up apps have a weekly change. I think someone is phishing.

Setting aside the possibility of seeing a scam or phishing attempt, consider that your iPad has both local storage and iCloud Storage. Unless you have subscribed to a paid tier (i.e., iCloud+), you will only have 5GB of iCloud storage. The “free” 5GB storage is very easy to fill - and it is perhaps this storage that you have seen warning.
