How to eliminate side bar from email on I-pad

The sidebar in the default iOS Mail app cannot be disabled. It is part of the OS/App.

If you do not like this feature, there are plenty of third party iOS/iPadOS Mail client apps, found in the iOS App Store, that may work difftently for your needs.
