Why are incoming landline calls breaking up when I receive them on my iphone 13 SE?

Calls that I both make to landlines and receive from landlines are breaking up significantly. Is there a reason for this? Is there possibly a setting I need to adjust? In both cases I was on my home wifi which was working fine.

Please let me know.
