Hi kaffeburk,

Welcome to the Apple community.

I'm no expert in this area.

Just wondering in which format you exported / or saved / the screen-recording created with Quicktime.

Eg: Seems on saving a screen recording, the format is .mov, the format that plays in Quicktime.

However it seems QuickTime can export movies to other file formats and resolutions

ie: for sharing, for use on websites, or maybe for use in other apps / devices.

The VLC app can play a whole variety of movie file formats.
