Beats Fit Pro Muting After Loud Sound

I saw another community question that brought this up but there wasn’t a substantial answer given and that thread is closed.

Everytime there’s a loud bang/snap nearby one of the buds, that bud will go mute for about 2-5 seconds. It’s very jarring. Does anyone know why this is? I got a replacement because I was only able to replicate it on the right bud, but now that I have it, both do it now. Weirdest thing.

Hello BoytoyToyloy,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Have you tried resetting your Beats to see if that helps?

Here's how:

1. Place both earbuds in the charging case. Leave the case open.

2. Press and hold the system button on the case for 15 seconds or until the LED indicator light flashes
red and white.

3. Release the system button.

The LED indicator light will continue to flash white, which means that you can
pair your Beats Fit Pro with your iPhone, Mac, Android device, or other device again.

If the issue persists, we suggest reaching out to Apple directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to contact them

We hope this helps.

Best regards!
