I have an older imac from 2009 running el capitan and a newer ipad pro with the new different connections.. is there a way to get them to connect. I cant get my photos from the ipad to import to my imac ..icloud seems to not want to do anything on the imac.

I think that iCloud sync came into play with Sierra, so that's why it's not working.
However, this cable may help you. You don't NEED to get this brand, but it will be what will allow your iPad to plug into your iMac

thank you.. i can't imagine why even icloud wont' receive stuff..it is an older imac and ever since I got my new ipad pro they won't play well together..lol even icloud has dug in it's heels.. time for a new Imac I think... it won't upgrade anymore at all..
