iBooks missing downloads

I recently opened iBooks and over half of my pdf downloads are missing. I have ibooks set to backup to iCloud. When I logged into iCloud the documents are not there either. Is there anyway to retrieve this data?!?

iCloud and Macbook backup other than 'Documents' folder? Dear community, Is there a simple way to backup other than the 'Documents' folder on iCloud? I want to backup my personal files which are organized in a separate folder. I don't like to put my personal files to the Mac's 'Documents' folder as it gets mixed with other stuff from installed apps. I really like to have my files completely separated from other files. Is there a way? Or there isn't any other way than just put my personal folder into the 'Documents' folder? It could be a big improvement if you could just tell iCloud to backup any folder you like on your Mac! Thank you a lot!

How to backup all my files stored on Icloud to a physical storage device? After an update to Ventura 13.1 all my files disappeared from my MacBook Pro and Finder stopped working. I would like to get all my files that are currently in icloud onto a completely separate physical storage device. (NOT a Mac) What is the best way to do this, please? (I can’t use Finder because it’s hanging and my Mac seems to be constantly synching with Icloud, disappearing files from the Mac nearly as soon as they are created)

Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Books and turn it off and back on.
