Spell check in Word for Mac

Can anyone help? I have recently changed to the latest Word for Mac (v16.63) and the new version does not allow me to add new words to the custom dictionary. The add to dictionary option is not even greyed out when I right-click a misspelled word. The only option is add to AutoCorrect.

iMac, OS X 10.10
