My emails have disappeared, I use an iPad. How do I get them back?

Thanks for updating us. To confirm, were you able to see all your missing emails when visiting your email provider's website? If emails are missing on your provider's website, you might need to contact them for assistance in possibly recovering that missing information.


If you were able to see all your emails populate on your provider's website, you can try the following steps to see if it helps:


1.) Remove the affected email account from your iPad:

  • Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts
  • Tap the email account you want to remove and select "Delete Account"

2.)Re-add the email account to your iPd:

  • Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account
  • Select your email service and fill out information

Hi there GuysAndDolls,


In order to determine if this is an issue with email syncing with your iPad or if this is an issue with email being deleted unexpectedly, first sign into your email provider's website in a web browser to see if the email is showing there. If you use iCloud Mail, sign into the iCloud site here: Sign in to iCloud


If using another email provider such as Gmail or Yahoo, sign into their email website on a web browser.


If the email is appearing on the email provider's website without issue, then that means it is not syncing with the iPad. To check which accounts are syncing email with the Mail app on your iPad, navigate to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. If you see your accounts listed here, ensure the 'Mail' option is toggled on for each account.


If you do not see your accounts, follow the steps here to add the accounts back onto your iPad: Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
