How long does data migration take?

I have found that with the two Macs connected with a USB cable the migration is completed in 45 minutes or less. Of course, if you have a lot more data, it will take longer. It should not be taking hours to complete though, unless Wi-Fi or a network is being used (which I do not recommend).

At USB3 speeds took over 12 hours to migrate 1.1 TB of data.

Time to Migrate Data:

That depends on the connection method, the data transfer rate, along with the amount of data your are transferring. So, wait it out, and it will all transfer, sucre enough.
