Disappearing open safari tabs

I’m having ongoing problems with my open safari tabs just disappearing.

I’ve disabled the ‘auto-close safari tabs’

The tabs that disappear arn’t in the ‘recently closed list’

Last time this happened to me I started to put some important open tabs into folders, but sometimes (but not so often) one or two tabs will still disappear from those too!

I know I can bookmark etc, but really, this shouldn’t be happening.

I had got about 30 open tabs last night, and this morning they are all gone, with no trace! Please help!

Hello Pennykins01,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that tabs in Safari are not working as expected. To ensure that

we're on the same page, are you completing the following steps: Use tabs in Safari on iPhone

To clarify, do you have multiple devices? If so, does this issue occur with them as well?

At this time, we'd like to provide you with a few steps that may help resolve the issue:

Quit and reopen an app on iPhone

Restart your iPhone:

1. Press and hold the side button until the power-off slider appears.
""

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or
unresponsive, force restart your device.

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

Update iOS on iPhone(Secure your data with a backup before proceeding)

Let us know if this helps.

Best wishes!
