How do I set my headphone balance to -.01, or .01 more left than right.

I had my headphone balance set to -.01, which made everything sound correct and centralized. I accidentally tapped the slider, and now it will not return to -.01. It instead goes to either -.02, or 0.00, which sound noticeably stronger on the left and right respectively in a way that makes it impossible to focus on anything and is slightly giving me a headache. It will let me slide it to the correct position, and the preview is accurate, but when I take my finger off it jumps to 0.00.

I have tried going throguh Siri, which did not recognize the request.

I also tried using voice control, which did not recognize the balance slider as a thing it could interact with, under “balance” “headphone balance” “Left Right Balance” or “LR”. It did not have a label when I turned on the display labels feature.

I am being driven slightly insane by this and am on the verge of a meltdown due to it, with it being impossible to either do the tasks I need to or to self regulate using any of my usual method with the audio balance so drastically off.

I have not found any documentation of this issue on line, and all the data I can find says that the increment used is 0.01.

Any help with returning my balance settings to how they’ve been for the past eight years would be massively appreciated.
