How to tell if MacBook is iCloud locked
I’m looking at buying a used MacBook Pro. Is there a way to find out if it is iCloud locked? Will Apple support tell me if that serial number is assigned to an iCloud account? Thanks
No they will not. The Activation lock needs to be removed by the seller, so simply tell them they must follow these instructions before turning it over to you. You should get the welcome screen if they did it right and you can set it up with your ID.
