Archived messages

If you are referring to text or iMessages, you will need tor restore a previously saved backup to recover any messages that have been deleted. Keep in mind that any content created after this backup was created will be lost in the restore process.

If you are using Messages in iCloud, any deleted messages will be deleted permanently from all devices, and are not recoverable.
