IPhone XR went blank cannot get it to illuminate

iPhone XR will not illuminate. It rings when you call but the screen is black

My iPhone screen is completely black but it's on My phone screen is completely black but my phone is on and I can hear it get alerts it can still get calls the screen is just blank. It may be time to make an appointment at the nearest Apple Store for an evaluation and explanation of your options...
