When I double click an app nothing happens
Trying to purchase apps. However, when I double click on the side window nothing happens

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Are you able to download any free apps? Are you signed into the App Store? You can confirm by looking to see if you notice a blue account button at the top of the App Store screen. If you do see that, sign in with your Apple ID and try to download the app again.
If not, you can try closing out the App Store app completely and then restarting your iPad. These steps can help resolve many issue we may face such as an app not working as expected.
