Dial assist - problem with country code

Hello, I have a problem with my 13 Pro. I have SIM card from my country inserted in the phone, and as I visit foreign country at least once a week, I have turned off the feature “dial assist” as I was getting wrong country prefix for any caller that is not in my phonebook and for contact in the phonebook that are saved without country prefix (+xxx). The problem is that even after disabling “dial assist”, I still get wrong country prefix for incoming calls when I am in roaming at the foreign country. I have tried changing phone region in the settings and returning back to proper region, but that haven’t solved anything… what could be the problem, how to fix this, as this is huge problem for me?

I have dial assist disabled all the time, and in my home country, I don't have any problems...

I have a roaming plan with everything included like I am in my country.

As I said, when I use a SIM card on a different phone, I don't have that problem, so I believe that there is definitely something wrong with dial assist settings...

Does Dial Assist work from your home country?

Are you using a roaming plan from your carrier? About cellular data roaming options for your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support. If so, some carrier features aren’t available.


If Dial Assist only has problems when you’re away from home, please contact your carrier, since that’s the source that Apple uses to add the country code correctly.
