Driving focus turns itself off

I couldn’t respond to another post from March regarding this. I have my iPhone set to activate the driving focus manually, which I start every time I’m driving. The focus will randomly turn itself off no matter how many times I turn it back on. if it’s on manually, it should stay on until I turn it off. What is a fix for this? I thought about using a different focus but that takes away the purpose of having the auto reply message.

I’ve already restarted the phone multiple times. I’ve removed and added back the focus. I’ve even turned it on while it was sitting on my desk and it still turned itself off.

iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 15.5.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! You mentioned that this happens while driving, does this happen if you are driving in any other vehicle? Have you tried modifying the settings in this article? Use the Driving Focus on your iPhone to concentrate on the road - Apple Support

Yes, I've tried in a different vehicle, which I don't think should matter because it's not set up to activate when connected to Bluetooth. Per above, I've also tried it while the phone was sitting on a desk, stationary. It still shut itself off. There's no time limit. It's completely random.

This happened occasionally with a previous iphone that I had but this one has it happen everytime.

You mentioned it happening on a previous phone, however not as often.

When you set up this new phone, was a backup restored from the previous phone? If so, the issue could be related to settings and/or the software from the old device.
