Associate Apple ID and iTunes

Associate Apple ID and iTunes I’m trying to download something and want to enter my password says that it can’t download because my Apple ID in my iTunes or not associated

Have you signed into iTunes in Settings or in the iTunes application if using a computer and then tried to download an app?
