I am signed in but can’t post replies to Community

I am signed in to the community and receive follow-up responses to an old post. Whenever I try to respond I get error message:


I can go through this a hundred times with same result. Also, the “Welcome…” message at the bottom seems to indicate that the site does not recognize that I am already signed in. My account is some 16 years in existence!

So far can find no solution. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

It's a glitch here, I get it every day on my first post. Workaround: copy your post > hit cancel > reload the page > paste your reply > hit post and it will work. The hosts are aware of the glitch.

Did you note the "Your session has expired" message?


As babowa said, a glitch. On and off since the rollout of the current forum software in Dec 2018 we have seen log-out issues that happen not long after you log in. For me it started again last week. Once relogged, I am usually able to continue helping for several hours without issue.


There are other reasons. The other common one is that you began typing a response but, before posting, someone reports the post. If reported for relocation, babowa's method works great. You can reload the page, which should be in its proper place now, and paster your response. If the report resulted in removal of the thread for violating the forum's Term of Use, it's gone forever and you cannot respond..

Actually my method works no matter what. As well, with my method, there is no need to sign in again - as long as I reload the page, it finally "gets it" that I was signed in already. Only happens with iPads on first post of the day on that particular iPad (so it could be in the afternoon if that is the first time I am using it that day).
