How can I do this if I cannot start my Mac?
The instructions say to back up my computer before I go to the Genius Bar because I cannot start my computer. But if I can’t start my computer how can I back it up?
You cannot. If you cannot start it, you cannot back it up.
Just go to the Genius Bar to get it fixed. It's too late for backups now.
