Disappeared email in drafts

On my MacBook Pro, I clicked on a draft email to edit and it disappeared. How do I retrieve it?

when you start an email, and stop editing it, it asks you to save it as draft. If you start again editing it, it stays in draft. If you send it, or delete it, it‘s not a draft anymore and disappears from the draft folder.

It‘s gone.

Recovering a Lost eMail Draft:

A. Where to Look:

So, did the eMail's window just vanish? Look in the Drafts folder. Perhaps it was sent? So, look in the Sent folder.

B. Restore from a Backup:

One option would be to restore your Mac from a backup that has this draft in it. You'd backup your Mac now > restore your Mac to the backup with this draft > send the eMail > restore to this backup you've just created.
