Apple watch

I bought an apple watch from my local swatmeet. And I was in the process of setting it up, when it asked me for an appleid and password. Idk if I should just try n use my apple ID n password or if it's asking for a prior one. I just really want my wat h to work. Plz help

If the watch is activation locked then it won't accept your apple id,if that happens then;

The person that you bought/got this watch from needs to follow all the steps in this link;

Remove the Activation Lock so that the buyer can use it.

If they can't or won't then get your money back or recycle the watch and mark it down as a bad experience.
