Hello, do we have to enter the Apple ID first after updating the a1688 phone and in the step one after the update?

If you are prompted to enter the Apple ID and Password then you will have to enter that information. You may be asked for this information to remove an Activation Lock or to Activate the iPhone once again after the update.
What are you seeing on your screen? If you can share that with us without divulging any personal information, then we may be able to further address the issue that you are facing.
