Mac Can't find Big Sur 11.6.7

You can download the 11.6.7 from your Terminal.app,

available software updates can be installed with the following command copy & paste:

sudo softwareupdate -i -a -R

From your Terminal do you see the list of installers, copy and paste:

softwareupdate --list-full-installers

if so...copy and paste:

sudo softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 11.6.7

I have a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) and also have this problem. Timemachine just finished the last backup cycle and the update still just doesn't show for me, whether in the GUI or using the terminal commands. The checking just hangs.

I had a recent experience with a similar delay.

I needed to wait until Time machine had finished its backup, and then everything went right through using the GUI.

"club it on the head" by doing a Restart -- then check again.
