Home pod will not reset

Home pod will not reset? Have tried everything it just keeps spinning. Hold it down, turns red. As so as I let it it goes back to spinning white.

pay close attention to the precise 10 second timing on both counts and wait for the three beeps.

:

  1. Unplug HomePod or unplug the power adapter for HomePod mini. Wait 10 seconds, then plug HomePod back in.
  2. Wait 10 seconds, then touch your finger to the top of HomePod and hold it there.
  3. The white spinning light will turn red. Keep your finger down.
  4. Siri will say that your HomePod is about to reset. When you hear three beeps, you can lift your finger.

If this is an OG HomePod it might not be functioning as well. One of mine won’t reset properly but did still reset it. If it reset successfully you will no longer see it in the Home App. If it’s not there, try setting it up again. If it is there try the manual removal method. If this is part of a stereo pair it needs to be ungrouped first before resetting.
