Find My iphone Alert is stuck on the screen

"Find My iphone Alert" is stuck on and the "OK" response is unresponsive, I am unable to turn my phone off or get past this alert although I can see all notifications behind it. Is there any way to clear this? (iphone XS max)

Thanks Todd0213, it wasn’t in lost mode but it was stuck. Required a forced restart, but this took a couple of goes before it worked. Hold down and release vol up button briefly, hold down and release vol down button briefly, then hold down the side button until it switches off. When I turned it back on the problem was gone 👍🏼👍🏼

Hello Channon141,

To confirm, was your iPhone placed in Lost Mode, did you play a sound recently to locate your device, or did you recently set up Find My on the iPhone? If you placed the iPhone in Lost Mode, you will find the steps for turning off Lost Mode in the "Turn off Lost Mode on a device" section of the following article.

Mark a device as lost in Find My on Mac

If the prompt isn't related to enabling Lost Mode and you're unable to move past this screen, you can restart the iPhone using the steps listed below.

  1. "Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo."

Restart your iPhone
