h264 mp4 stutter in qt/final cut, but not vlc

Hey guys

An h264 mp4 1080p 50fps video file stutters severely on Quicktime & Final Cut, MacBook Air 2017 with MacOS Monterey 12.4.

VLC player has no problems playing the file. I fixed it by converting the files from h264 to MPEG-4 with Handbrake and 30fps constant framerate - however, does anybody have a clue? During playback with Quicktime, the h264 shows no processor spike, it just drops a lot of frames.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.4
