View existing bit rate of a video file

I'm new to compressor.

Is there a way to see the existing bit rate (or indeed size) for a video once imported?

In the inspector I can see frame rate and codec, but not bit rate (or indeed size).

There is no direct way. One way of course is to open the file in the QT player or MediaInfo. Another is to drag the file into the Custom folder of Compressor. It creates a preset based on the file specs included its average data rate.
