AirPods not connecting

my AirPods won't show up in the "other devices". Ive tried about everything i can to get them to show and they wont. and when they do and i try to connect them they say, connection failed or something like that everytime. sometimes I get lucky and they do connect but then ofc i disconnect em after im done with em and when i wanna connect them again they dont work.
