Hi! I have a microsoft mouse that I use with my macbook at home.
The place where I work has a function on their computers so that the mouse when they select a word it automatically copies that word and if you then use the scroll button it pastes that word.
I am not very good with technical stuff so I was wondering if anyone might know if I can make this work on my macbook with my microsoft mouse?

You will need a Mac capable of running macOS Monterey before you can use Shortcuts on a Mac, and then I don't believe you can control mouse behavior in Shortcuts without some serious programming skills.

Give USBOverdrive or Steermouse a try; they should be able to program mouse buttons to do what you want.
Not that I know of. But you might want to ask the question in a Microsoft user forum too.
