How do I search for songs in iTunes Store?

I'm having trouble searching for songs in the iTunes store with my new Mac Mini.

Having trouble searching songs in the iTunes Store. I want to purchase songs in the iTunes store on my desktop Mac but I'm having trouble with searching for the songs I want in the iTunes Store! I try to search in the upper left search bar and then try to click the iTunes Store option but it always searches within the Apple Music option. I find the song I want but there's no option to buy, only to preview but when I click the preview button there's a popup add for Apple Music subscription. I'm SO frustrated, buying songs use to be so simple!!!

How do you search for music in the itunes store on a mac? Apparently, this is an issue that's been a problem for people for years now, judging by the similar questions in that time frame.
