"Exercise Ring Closed"

Why does my watch say "Exercise Ring Closed" after about 1/2 hour of walking or hiking. What does that mean?

Watch exercise ring My watch has been keeping track of my exercise daily and all my rings normally close, but the exercise ring is not closing the last few days although my exercise is about the same. Can I recalibrate it somehow?

It means you've reached your exercise goal for the day.
