Iphone 13 and Carplay

Is it safe to use a USB A cord in a car that has carplay? I was told when buying my new phone a USB A cord could potentially mess with the battery life because the IPhone 13 should be charged with a USB C cord. If it is not safe is there a adapter or converter that you all would recommend to use so carplay can be used when traveling?

The USB-A is completely safe. Make sure that it is either a genuine Apple cable, or one that is marked MFi, Made for iPhone.
