Disk Utility, the initiation process stopped and now the disk is uninitiated.

When I connect the" disk to USB I receive: The disk you attached was not readable by this computer.

There is also an option "Initialize",

that shows "Seagate Expansion Media" - also on the left side panel only one line

"Seagate Expansion Media" - it seems I could initiate the disk from here but its would be different than the original trial, where

  • I had on the left side panel main line "Seagate Expansion Media or similar" AND
  • also one sub category "Seagate Expansion Media or similar"
  • and I had to continue with this intended line to find right initiation options

Now I don't have any choice and the process seems to go wrong?

I use Big Sur and I would like to use APFS initiation
