What is the difference between Passcode and Password?

The term passcode is used by Apple for what you enter to unlock an iPhone or iPad (typically 4 or 6 digits but can be longer and can be alphanumeric). The term password is used for what you use when logging in with your Apple ID (e.g., logging into iCloud, logging in to this forum, etc).
