I have a 2019 MacBook Pro. The keyboard only lights up at login - once I've logged in, the light goes away and no matter what I try, I cannot adjust it. The "Adjust keyboard brightness in low light" option has disappeared and when I try to slide the keyboard brightness, it reverts back to nothing.

Keyboard brightness is controlled by SMC. Resetting SMC could solve your issue.

I've tried resetting it to no avail. The keyboard only lights up at login. After I log in, it goes away and there's no way for me to bring it back.
