AppleTV+ app on Roku constantly freezes

My AppleTV+ app on Roku constantly freezes and stutters. All other streaming apps work fine. Apple claims it's Roku's problem, but the issue is only with Apple streaming. I've unplugged, rebooted, uninstalled the app, etc. The problem remains. Unfortunately, my Sony TV doesn't support the app so I have to use a separate device. Any ideas would be appreciated.
