Quick Time Player doesn't work

Nothing happens when I click on the QuickTime player icon. Why isn't it working? How can I get it fixed?

when you click on the QT icon, it will appear as if nothing has happened. but if you look at your menubar, you will see that it has opened.

and in Apple Menu > QuickTime Player > File you will find some of the controls.

and there's much more to it and what you can do with it. you may want to read this apple support article >> QuickTime Player User Guide for Mac - Apple Support. you can look through the "table of contents" link near the top of the page to find the subjects that you would like to know more about.
