How to delete multiple conversations

Is there any way to delete multiple conversations in "messages" in Monterey without doing it one by one?

I've tried highlighting a conversation, then pressing the shift key in another conversation like you can do in mail but it will not select all the messages in between so I can delete them all at once. Any ideas?
